Our founders

Dean and Diana Conner

With Dean’s military background and my nutrition and group fitness background- we sought to create a special place for fitness AND community. That home away from home feeling is what we ourselves desired after our time in the special forces. Our goal has been to be a one-stop shop for fellowship, fitness, and family. 9 years later, we feel we have accomplished just that and are always looking for ways to improve. We are currently looking to install new programs for our elderly population (Swashbuckle Legends Class coming soon!) and our younger kiddos and our plans to grow never stop! When you step through our doors, you WILL feel welcomed, heard and pushed to go great things. We can’t wait to meet you.

I love teaching people how to move their bodies properly with solid form and technique. There is something special about taking up space, moving weight, whether it’s your own or a barbell with plates, and experiencing everything a workout has to offer that day. My coaching journey began as a member at CrossFit Dana Point in 2015 where I fell in love with the sport. Gym owner, Zak Kepner, took me under his wing and taught me many things about the art of coaching. Soon after, I was coaching, personal training, nutrition counseling and managing the gym full-time. I loved pouring into my members and watching them grow. Throughout my time in Southern California I also gained experience in personally training those in need of strength and fitness post recovery at Orange County Physical Therapy An opportunity with Dallas Fire Rescue brought me to Texas in 2021 and I am grateful to also be a part of the SBCF team. • Certified CrossFit Trainer Level 3 • USAW Level 1 • Precision Nutrition Level 1
